EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH): Coordinator - Emergency Management and Business Continuity (March 2025 - Current)
Working closely with the Manager Emergency Management, I am responsible for the delivery of emergency management and business continuity training, exercise scheduling and compliance and supporting the Emergency Management Manager with response activities.
My other accountabilities include:
- Working with the Manager Emergency Management to develop, deliver and support the emergency management and business continuity functions and to develop, monitor and prepare reports on key performance indicators.
- Supporting the Emergency Management Planning Committee and its working groups through the preparation of agendas, taking of minutes and development of action plans.
- Participating in internal and external committees as designated.
- Providing support and guidance to RCH staff in relation to the development, implementation and evaluation of business continuity plans (BCPs) and business impact assessments (BIAs).
- Ensuring that all RCH BCPs and BIAs comply with the RCH’s Business Continuity Framework.
- Scheduling, managing and administering the emergency management programs including Chief Warden/Area Warden training, emergency response exercises (drills) and the compliance database to ensure RCH staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to undertake their warden roles.
- Providing support to and participating in the RCH’s Hospital Incident Management Team (HIMT).
- Liaising as required with the RCH’s Emergency Management Organisation (ECO) partners and Emergency Services as required.
- Managing or assisting in managing emergency management or business continuity projects.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and risks in the areas of emergency management and business continuity.
- Working with the Manager Emergency Management to implement and deliver change initiatives.

I was responsible for the leadership and management of the energetic, dynamic and innovative Safety Training team at Chisholm Institute. The team delivered non-accredited short courses and nationally recognised qualifications, skill sets and short courses training on campus as well as in the workplace to clients from a diverse range of industries including but not limited to water, civil, rail, construction, manufacturing, engineering, health, community services and local government.
