Fire Warden and Intruder Response Training for Schools

About the course

In today’s unpredictable world, schools must be prepared for any situation, including a hostile armed intruder situation. Is your school ready to respond? Our course equips staff, and administrators with the skills they need to respond to fire emergencies and to protect students and themselves in intruder situations.

This specialised course teaches participants how to identify and respond to threats swiftly, emphasising safety, quick decision-making, and teamwork. Our expert trainers use real-life scenarios to help you develop practical strategies for dealing with an armed intruder or hostile individual.

This program is designed specifically to align with:

  • Responding to Intruder Threat Guidelines for Early Childhood Services and Schools (Victoria Department of Education and Training) - These guidelines have been created to provide guidance for schools and early childhood services in preparing for and responding to, intruder threat on site during hours of operation.
  • Australian Standard AS3745:2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities - AS3745 provides guidelines for planning for emergencies ensuring the safety and well-being of people and property in the event of an emergency. By following the guidelines set out in the standard, facilities can develop and implement emergency plans that will help them to respond effectively to emergencies and minimise their impact.
